The Day Before Thanksgiving at the Ranch

Another cold sunrise...prelude to another beautiful day at the ranch!
Paco and Luigi seem fine hanging out in the morning frost- which is good, otherwise I'd be outfitting them with little donkey jackets!

The entire animal crew went about their routine today blissfully unaware of the preparations going on for the Thanksgiving holiday. I went to pick up the pumpkin pies I'd ordered at the bakery to find out that the piemaker's mother had died unexpectantly the night before- and they had to scramble to make the 200+ pies that were ordered--such news always instantly makes the trivial matters of the day completely unimportant! So on this day before Thanksgiving, I'm grateful that my family & relatives are all safe and sound...as are the wild turkeys, who have wisely headed into the woods for the night.

Plotting their next devious donkey move!
