The Canine Patient at the Ranch

Behold the canine patient! Bravo has been a very good patient today...and he even slept a bit last night (finally we broke down and put him in our bed and everyone got a fairly good night's sleep, despite the big storm raging outside and Boulder pacing the bedroom floor...)...AND he got his first visitor since the operation...Claire! So he's one happy pup tonight. And only six more days to go with the stupid cast!

Claire says hi to her donkey brothers.

Claire says goodnight to her hen sisters.
We moved Bravo's pen so he'd have a view today (Randy's great idea).
Bravo wonders about all of it.
A bit of "cage free" time with Toby!

A break from the rain!
I made vegan tortillas today!! Quite a bit of work but worth it! Bravo supervised from his pen...

Here's how Bravo looks with his cast in a plastic bag.
Finally got a close up of a goose!

The quail are back.
My silly Paco.

Something I never knew:
Legend has it that St. Francis on his deathbed thanked his donkey for carrying and helping him throughout his life, and his donkey wept.
