I decided to see if the donkeys were as enthralled with an empty box as they are with an empty bucket...and the answer is NO...after the initial investigation process, which with donkeys lasts an awfully long time, they both turned and walked away without a backward glance at the poor empty box. It really is fun to see how curious they are about anything new that appears in their pasture, though...so I'll have to keep coming up with new items...kind-of like "show & tell" from elementary school!
Ears are really the most expressive part of a donkey...notice their "ear language" in the next few photos!
