Spring Weather in January at The Lazy Vegan

It was another spectacular day at The Lazy Vegan! The donkeys got an early start to the day (as they do every day) - lately the moon has been out early in the a.m. so I don't need my flashlight when I go out to feed them. There's something very cool about going out at 4:45 a.m. to greet my donkeys and let them out of the corral and then lead them to the feeder- this morning we all had our shadows with us, too- the moon was that bright. Everything was frosty and shining in the moonlight.
Once again I had a dream that was about the donkeys - so I am definitely keeping a "donkey dream journal"- and will most definitely bore the blog reader with some of the dreams in a future posting!

Luigi is thrilled to have the foreman all to himself!
Paco was busy doing something else- otherwise he'd have run over for his share of affection.

Soon Paco caught up!

Waiting for my kiss from Paco.

Paco's hilarious yoga pose, below- I see the donkeys do this a lot early in the morning.

Weegie spots the foreman coming down to the pasture.

I took way too many photos of the scene below- but it always cracks me up when the donkeys take their naps standing up- they really become frozen for a long, long time- they didn't flinch when I walked around snapping photos!

They even close their eyes a bit.

Perhaps they're practicing to be London guards!

The smoke from a neighbor's burn pile was a nice touch, too.

This went on for at least 20 minutes. They looked especially funny from the kitchen window!
