CASHEW MILK
1/2 cup raw cashew pieces (I bought organic raw cashews (unsalted) in bulk foods at Whole Foods)
2 cups water
1 tablespoon maple syrup (I used agave nectar syrup)
1. Combine cashews with one cup water and sweetener in blender.Blend on high to form a thick cream.
2. Slowly add remaining water and blend on high for 2 - 5 minutes. SUPER EASY! Tastes even better after it has been in the fridge for a while.
I made a big batch! I also made rice milk, and that was good, too. But cashew milk is way creamier.
After the storm, a lot of much-needed relaxation in the sunshine was going on.
Weegie was sighing when I took his photo!
Dust bath time!
A little grooming here and there.
Never more than ten feet or so away from one another!
The family of cows across the way enjoyed the sunshine, too.
The donkeys were super playful this week as soon as the sun appeared!
Heck, ALL the creatures enjoyed the blue skies!
Boulder, king of the clouds.
Wasabi spent one of the days down in the kitchen. She was very helpful while I cooked- she would toss her spoon around! We did have a mishap when she was using her litter box and I turned on the blender...the noise sent her flying! She hid out in her cottage for a while but soon recovered.
Fun with a new big box!
We see this sight so many times...she'll be hopping around and then will stop by to "check in" with her "baby"!
And the donkeys often check in with one another.
Evening lounging time for pups and cat.
Bravo's post from...ahem...the kitchen table!
More dust baths!
The donkeys doing their English guard poses...they will stand like this for nearly 30 minutes at time!
